The Office of Advancement supports the commitment of the Seattle Community Colleges to provide educational excellence and the opportunity for all of our students to achieve their educational goals.

The Foundation for Seattle Community Colleges, a Washington nonprofit corporation, has been established by the Advancement Office to work together with our two college foundations at South Seattle and Seattle Central Community Colleges and the Education Fund at North Seattle Community College to deliver the Power & Promise of education to our students, faculty, and community through the following targeted campaign goals:

Student Success – Increasing support for retention programs, scholarships, childcare, tutoring, and emergency grants

Academic Excellence – Establishing honors programs and endowed faculty chairs

Campus-Specific Strategic Initiatives – Industry-related initiatives that will provide new facilities, equipment and programs to meet the needs of high-demand fields in the region

Each college has an affiliated foundation that attracts private philanthropic support to enhance the colleges’ programs and enrich the lives of deserving students

The Seattle Community Colleges have launched a $25 million dollar comprehensive fund-raising campaign to increase private investment in our mission. This campaign will serve hundreds of thousands of students and their families and result in more students who are ready to:

Graduate with a degree or certificate
Transfer to a four-year college
Take their place in the workforce
Graduate to family-wage jobs, and
Help our community and region prosper.
