The Seattle Community Colleges exert a major influence on the Puget Sound region. Graduates of our academic and professional-technical programs work at the top companies in the Seattle area, and more of our students transfer to four-year colleges and universities than from any other college district in the state.

The Seattle Community Colleges serve all of metropolitan Seattle and its surrounding communities, with more than 50,000 students each year at three comprehensive college campuses and at specialized training centers located throughout the Seattle area.

Seattle Central Community College

Seattle Central has a national reputation for academic excellence. Seattle Central was among the first community colleges in the country to utilize learning communities in instruction. Its professional-technical graduates and Central’s transfer students enrich the region with jobs in information technology, health care, maritime, software engineering and commercial design. Central, located on Capitol Hill, embraces a rich mix of cultures, lifestyles, ages and nationalities.
