We live in a time of transformation- Just 15 years ago, a high school diploma was the ticket to a family-wage job. This is no longer true. Today’s new economy demands much more, and the Seattle Community Colleges must adapt and grow to provide the support our students need to succeed and to keep ahead of our community’s demands for well-equipped workers and citizens.

To meet this challenge, the Seattle Community Colleges launched a $25 million comprehensive campaign in 2006 to deliver the Power & Promise of education to each of the Seattle Community Colleges, our students, faculty and community through the following targeted goals:

Creating focused retention programs to help underrepresented students earn degrees, complete certificates, or transfer to four-year colleges and universities to continue their studies. Increasing scholarships, childcare, tutoring and emergency grant funding for students in greatest need, and securing the future of these programs by enhancing endowment funds at each college.   Learn more…..
